April Needs

Client needing items lost due to Hurricane Dolly was blessed by 2 churches that came together to meet the majority of her needs.

Needs List for April

Special thanks to Abundant Life Church Los Fresnos, Brownsville Community Fellowship, Church, Central Christian Church, Christ’s Harbor Church, Church of the Advent, Faith Church and United in Christ Church for their assistance in meeting the needs of families this past month.

Please announce the needs listed below to your congregation, put in your bulletin, post on your bulletin board or display electronically prior to your services. As always - thank you for all you do!!

Please call the Love INC office @ 233-1844 if you can help with any of the following needs. Please reference the 5 digit number listed at the end of each request/need. Also, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have or if more information is needed.

· Window AC Unit – Elderly widow needs window unit while on waiting list to replace central unit. Rivera High school area (09B08)

· Ceiling fan & Delivery of 2 doors – an elderly widow in Pt Isabel, on limited income, would like a ceiling fan to help keep her electric bill down. 2 doors located in Los Fresnos need to be delivered. (09G08)

· Twin bed –Single mother unemployed due to illness. Hurricane Dolly destroyed furniture. Laguna Vista (12D08)

· Table & chairs & 2 double beds–Single mother of five children just moved to the area. River High School area (12G08)

· Bunk beds, dressers, couch, stove, dishes, pots, pans – Family of nine just moved to the area. Father is working for a small church that has limited resources. Cameron Park area (12H08)

· 2 space heaters – family of 4, father on Social Security. On a tight budget need help with heaters.

· Beds – Family with 4 children just moved out of a trailer and into a house. Husband just started working. Pt Isabel (01A09)

· Frig, 3 twin beds – Disabled single mother of 2, recently moved here from San Antonio and was unable to bring all her furniture. Southmost area (01B09)

· Beds, couch – Family of 3 starting over after their trailer burned down a week after Thanksgiving. Just moved into a new home. Have a baby girl that is almost 2 months old born with heart problems and needs lots of prayers. (Hwy 48 & Austin Rd area) 01C09

· Refrigerator – family of 5; father is on worker’s comp and their refrigerator is “barely making it”. (Southmost/Morningside area) 02G09)

· Twin Bed – family of 5; father is waiting for heart surgery. Need a bed for one of their daughters.

· Dresser, dishes, pots/pans, curtains – Disabled man recently moved to his own apartment and is on a limited income. (Southmost/Rd/International Blvd) (03B09)

· Microwave, washing machine – Single mom of a disable child still trying to replace items damaged from Hurricane Dolly (03C09)

· Plumbing – widow in Port Isabel on limited income needs help fixing her overflowing toilet. Pt Isabel (03D09)

· Couch, full bed & twin bed - Single mom just started working & moving into her new apartment. (International Blvd/Tyler St) (04A09)

Please pray for:

- The above listed clients. Pray that they will develop a desire to know more about the Lord.

- More intake volunteers. Intake volunteers have the opportunity to pray with most of the clients who call in with needs (sometimes it is the only time they have heard someone pray with/for them).

- Office Volunteers to update the needs list, file folders, etc.

- The Love INC Board members, staff, volunteers and their families. Pray that God would bless them and give them wisdom and insight. Pray also that God would protect them and their families from the attacks of the enemy as they strive to make a difference for Christ.
